Gennaro Cimafonte has been awarded the prestigious Young Composers Award (ages 7–17) at the Brooklyn Music Teachers Guild (BMTG) 7th Intercontinental Music Competition.

As recognition of this achievement, he will perform his 2025 composition Rondò in C-sharp minor at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM, as part of the Winners Concert featuring works by young composers and established living composers.

The Rondò in C-sharp minor represents Gennaro's continued exploration of piano composition, following his first prelude written in 2024. The piece showcases his developing voice as a composer and his affinity for the expressive depth of minor keys.
